What is a price cap plan?

A price cap (per gallon of oil), allows for market changes. You can lock in a low price for the entire heating season with a Price Cap, which is the highest price you will pay, no matter how high oil prices may go throughout the heating season. If the retail price goes up the customer pays the cap price, but if the retail price goes down the customer pays the lower price. You'll have the security of never paying more than the capped price. The premium is determined by the number of gallons capped.

What is a pre-buy plan?

This is a "lock-in" program that can help you manage your energy bills. You purchase your heating fuel in advance of the heating season, (there is a minimum purchase required). We require a minimum purchase of 500 gallons and that you be an Automatic Delivery customer

What exactly is the budget rewards plan?

Budget Rewards Program. It is our regular 11 month equal pay plan, but with rewards now. Our 2 and 2 plan! You get 2% back on all credit balances and 2 cents off per gallon.

When does budget rewards start and when does it end?

It starts on August 10th and ends June 10th.

What are budget envelopes?

Once you sign up for the budget you receive 11 budget envelopes printed with your monthly budget amount. The amount is the same every month. Just put your check in the self addressed budget envelope and get it to us by the 10th of every month. Envelopes will be mailed by early August.

Can I pay online or by credit card?

Yes you can pay online at www.woolleyfuelco.com/main/payment.htm or we can keep your credit card on file and charge the card automatically on the 10th of the month.

How do you calculate the budgets?

Budgets are calculated with the computer by dividing the number of degree days in a normal winter by the burning rate which is also known as the "K" factor. This rate is different for every household and depends on the size of the house and the efficiency of the boiler. We calculate the budgets based on the price of oil at the beginning of the heating season. The price is subject to change throughout the heating season which could alter any balance at the end of the budget plan.

What if your calculations are wrong?

The calculations are only an estimate so at the end of the season you could have a credit or a balance. Any credits on budgets may be refunded in July or kept on the account until the new and applied to the new budget season. Any balances due on the account at the end of the year may be paid in July. All balances must be cleared up by July in order to receive budget envelopes for the following season.

What are budget rewards?

We reward you for being in the program. We call it our 2 and 2 plan. You get .02 off per gallon and any credit balances that accrue you earn a bonus of 2% per annum. These bonuses are added to your account for each month you maintain a credit balance.

Do I still receive my senior citizen discount?

Absolutely. You will still be eligible to receive .05 off per gallon.
Will I be subject to finance charges??Finance charges are not added to budget accounts. However, your account may revert back to a 30 day account subject to finance charges if more than three payments are missed.

How do I know If I owe money or have a credit?

Statements of your budget account are generated once, at the end of the heating season, but you can always check your delivery invoice for up to date information. In the Total Amount Due box it will indicate if you have a credit or a balance.
